Athletic Hall of Fame

The MHS Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2017. Since its inception, there have been a few classes. COVID incited a pause in the program but it was restarted in the Fall of 2025 and we look forward to making this an annual tradition. The MHS Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individual athletes and sports teams who've made exceptional contributions to the athletic programs of Madras High School. Athletes are eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame 10 years after they graduate. Candidates are eligible through at least one of four classifications:

  1. Being a state champion, team state champion or all-state in at least one sport, or brought fame to Madras in high school or post-high school athletics.

  2. A private citizen who has been a White Buffalo supporter and has made an exemplary contribution to the athletic programs at MHS.

  3. Individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the MHS program as coaches, administrators, teachers, etc.

  4. Individuals who were outstanding athletes prior to the inception of all-state honors.

Entry to the hall will be based on voting among the hall of fame committee. There is no set number of inductees year to year.
